Aaron & Jessica's Wedding

On the afternoon of March 22, 2009, in Oakhurst, California,
Aaron Michael Telian married Jessica Quinn Slagg,
just over seven months after they first "met" on the Internet,
with him in California and her in New Zealand.
God's plans are so amazingly beyond our comprehension.

After weeks of warmth and sunshine, the morning of our wedding day greeted us with several inches of snow and more coming down. The previously-planned outdoor wedding was moved to the nearby indoor chapel. Thankfully, the sun came out by mid-morning and dried up the roads sufficiently and the day continued with a mix of sunshine, clouds and snow flurries. What had at first seemed a huge obstacle, God used for good as the snow definitely added to the fun and beauty of the wedding.

It was truly a wonder-filled wedding as we rejoiced in God's goodness and His perfect gifts.

"But as it is written: 'Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.'”
~1 Corinthians 2:9

In the dressing room

There was one standing mirror for six bridesmaids, two flower girls and one bride...but it ended up working out wonderfully!

Food to sustain us girls was provided by some friends...we were so thankful!

Karen, my mom, made my wedding dress...without much of a pattern to go on....but it turned out to be exactly what I wanted.

Preparing the bride

My friend, Amber Welch, made my wedding jewelry...it was exactly what I wanted!

My sister, Rebecca, helped me with my jewelry...

...and Erin, with my hair.

I had always wanted to wear lilies-of-the-valley in my hair for my wedding...so my dear sister Erin, bought a plant and brought it all the way from Seattle!
